Introducing Taylee Paige Mortenson!!!! Miss Taylee came to us March 31, 2011 on Grandma Mortenson's birthday!! She weighed 7 lbs. 3 oz. and was 19 inches long!!! She was quite a urprise, seeming as I was 100% sure that she was going to be a boy!!! And by 100% I mean that my motherly intuition was right the first 2 times and so I figured I got this one in the bag!!!! It was a boy!!! Wow, I was wrong!!!! lol!!! When the nurse told Jayson to make the announcement whether it was a boy or girl, Jayson just sat and starred at her. I kept thinking, come on!!! Tell me already!!! What I didn't know was that he was looking for little boy outdoor plumbing parts!!! So after 15 seconds, the nurse said, "Its a girl!!!" and he repeated her with this shocked tone, "It's a Girl!!" I think I had him 100% convinced that it was a boy too!!! What a surprise this little Taylee turned out to be!!! A great surprise that is!!! Her name has several meanings. First of all the "y" comes from Daddy Jayson's name, and the "Lee" represents her late aunt Cassie Lee with the "ee" also from her aunt Jamie Dee. If that made sense. She also has a great aunt named Paige, but Paige originally comes from a beautiful young lady that I absolutely adore and admire that so happens to be dating my brother-in-law!!! which in the future will be my sister-in-law also!! Miss Taylee is a delight. she is a very patient unless she's hungry, lol. I can't blame her really, I tend to be a bear if I'm hungry too!!! Other than that, she is now 3 1/2 weeks old, weighs 8 lbs. 5 oz. and 21 inches long and she is eating like a champ!! Last night she slept from 9 to 1 and then again from 1:40 to 5:00!!! I was in heaven!!! Knock on wood that it keeps up!!! If not, I'm just grateful for a great nights sleep!!! I was able to shower, make breakfast and get ready before I had to take Donnie to school!! As for adjustig to three kids, it has been a good transition!!! Honestly having the second child was more difficult. Although, I'm sure it'll get trickier when I have to run to the store a lot more while trying to balance a newborn and a 3 yr old!! So far, things are great and I'm loving having another sweet smelling baby to mug on all day. I'm starting to realize that this is an addiction of mine, I love babies!!! Jayson always said he could see me with 5 kids, and I always said, you are sooo wrong!!! Now, I can totally see why he said that. I do, I love babies!! Donovan and Kaleah love her!!! Donovan is a great protective big brother and loves holding and rocking her to sleep. Kaleah loves her too, she struggles a little with me having to nurse her all the time, but she is adjusting slowly. We're getting there!! I also love watching Jayson getting big goo goo eyes over his thrid child. It is a great reminder of how great of a father he really is. He has been so helpful. The other dayu he did the dishes and did a few loads of laundry while I took a nap. Isn't he wonderful!!!!! I love him so much and am so grateful for him!!! He is a blessing to our family!!!
