What's New With Us

I'm now 12 weeks along and the nausea is finally tapering off a little bit!!! Thank Heavens!!! The baby is now 3 inches long and the size of a lime. Crazy to think, but a fun fact!! The kids are as fun as ever!!!

-Donovan is really enjoying kindergarten and his first field trip is tomorrow to the hee haw farms in PG!! He is soooo ecited!!! They even get to bring home a pumpkin!! I think that's his favorite part! His whole face lit up when he reminded me that it was tomorrow. They also were sent home day with a baggie of a new box of crayons, colored pencils and notebook etc. I'm so glad that I didn't hold him back another year, this little boy needed this, and has been transformed because of it, and for the better. Yes, some days he comes home tired, but he just needed it. He's at peace. He is such a busy smart little body that needed more structure that was the same day to day and and to be able to socialize. He is a social butterfly. I'm grateful that he loves school and looks forward to going each day!!

-Kaleah is my devious little angel!! ha ha. In other words she is still as sweet as can be, but is definitely 2 years old and loves to test her mommy. She loves to tell me no!! So we are trying a new system where I'm making green, red and yellow cards. When she is good it'll be green. When she is naughty it'll be red, and in order to turn it back to green she has to do two good things to get it back. The first time will turn it yellow and then back to green. Donnie is also excited for this system. I plan on getting a pumpkin and filling it with cheap little dollar store trinkets and they get to pick a prize each night, if they have a green card. Hopfully it'll get her into saying "ok mommy" instead of "no mommy" all the time.

Jayson- Started school up again. He is working on his masters of finance, and I'm grateful to get it going. I feel like school has been delayed for awhile so it'll be nice to get it going and finish. He is liking it a lot though!! He is attending Univ of Utah and goes twice a week. So every week we see him for a half hour in the morning and then not til the next morning for the kids. I'd have to admit when your honey isn't in school, we have all the time in the world to have fun together, this definitely makes me appreciate our time more!! Also, for work they are kicking it up a knotch and they're going to have him visit three countries in one trip now. So this month he'll go to Peru, Equador and Columbia. Crazy!!! I hope that it doesn't finish him off!! At least, it'll give him plenty of time to study while there without me constantly distracting him. I'd have to admit, I'm bad at that. I like attention from my honey!!

Me- Well besides the pregnancy, young womens is going well. I love it alot!! I love the friendships I've been able to make through it. Luckily most of my sickness with this 3rd baby happened while stake conference, fast sunday and two of the nice gals in yw filled in for me. I don't know what I'd do without them. So many people have told me that morning sickness got better after the 2nd baby, well my got worse. It was the worst by far!!! I even got the joy of throwing up for the first time on my birthday!!! Isn't that great!! lol. It's actually a quite funny, cause Jayson and I went to Chuck O' Ramafor lunch, and then after wards I up "chucked" o rama!!! Not the most pleasant thing to share with you, but I found it funny. I also dropped my classes this semester, when I realized how sick I was going to be, I knew that I wouldn't be able to do it all. It's been so nice to just be a mom and not worry about homework. We go to the library more, we play more and my stress levels have gone down considerably.

-So that is us in a sort of novel/nutshell... I've also attached some photos I took of me and the kids.. I've been craving fall pictures!!
Hope things are great for all of you!!

With Love, Shana

Thanks for the update. And those pictures are ADORABLE!!! That's too bad that morning sickness has only gotten worse for you. (But glad that you're out of the thick of it). I was kind of banking on the promise that it usually gets better on subsequent children. Love and miss you all.

Wow...I didn't know that you were prego! So congrats...I wish I were at Hee Haws this year (it's my sister's farm, and I usually help with field trips)...then I could have seen your Donovan. Who ever said morning sickness gets easier is totally lying, so I hope you start feeling better. Take care of that cute family and yourself!
