A fraction of what our Savior Experienced
We recently got new neighbors. At first they asked many questions about the LDS church. It was really exciting and I got a taste of what a LDS mission would be like. Then, it just became a game where they would try to pick apart our church. Saying things such as; "Well I knew a girl that smoked and drank all the time, and she was LDS." We obviously reply with, "Well, not everyone lives up to our church's standards." We knew that they watched and observed everything we did, just waiting for us to trip up. I felt like our Savior when the priests tried asking questions and catching him in his words. I finally realized that they had their opinion of the church and it didn't matter what I said. They didn't have an open mind, and I couldn't force them to listen to me. It was truly an eye opener that I no longer was in Kansas (Utah), Todo. Opportunities to be a good example to many people are much larger here, which is great. It’ll always keep me striving to do my best. Hopefully I can run into someone that will have an open mind and wants to learn more. Hopefully, I’ve helped set a high standard of what LDS people are in neighbors mind frame.

We had an awesome lesson on this this sunday!! I might have to pass you the talk but it was great. I would have to agree that there are some fun folk out there that want to disrupt the work but I have learned from those people. They have always got me thinking about my own personal testimony and what I really want out of life. I think those are the moments that I have learned the most. They are sooooooo not fun when you are in them but they are the best learning experiences!!!
